On a cool Monday evening, two young men bumped into each other and they started to talk. They talked about their dreams, desires and aspirations….As the day grew darker welcoming the darkness and serenity of the night, their conversations shifted to the state of their country and how young people were underutilizing their energy, strengths and God given abilities. The fact that young Nigerians, rarely have inspirational leaders and models to look up to, the Niger delta crisis, the deteriorating quality of the Nigerian undergraduates and graduates, the skyrocketing rate of unemployment , plus the fact that Nigerian graduates have been termed “unemployable”
We couldn’t understand why a nation so blessed massively could be living in a mess; we couldn’t understand why the narrative of our generation should be skewered so dramatically in the negative. Then we asked ourselves a question. Knowing fully well that revolution begins with someone asking a question.
“Is this the way things have to be?”……Suddenly an idea popped up in our minds obviously inspired by God.”Why not create a platform where the young and the young at heart can converge and rub minds with LEADERS-Leading entrepreneurs, credible career people, and inspirational mentors and models so as to reach the tipping point of providing answers to this one question:” Is the way things have to be?”
We realized in that moment that we will have to take the initiative of making a difference in our nation.
